ABOUT / CONTACT

Stephen Rae has composed music for a varied roster of television, film, theatre and advertising.

In Australia he has won the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Award (AACTA), the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award (FCC) and many Australian Guild of Screen Composers Awards (AGSC). In France he has won the FIPA Musique d’Or (Federation Internationale de Production Audiovisuale) Gold Prize and in the USA he has won the CLIO award.

He has created scores for many iconic Australian television series, including Dalliance, Love My Way, Puberty Blues, Gallipoli, Howzat, Rush and Safe Harbour.

He has composed music for many theatre productions at Belvoir St Theatre and the Sydney Theatre Company. He has also worked as an actor in many productions with directors including Geoffrey Rush and Jim Sharman.
